The downside here however is that Z-wave devices tend to use more energy than their Zigbee counterparts - so if you’re looking for an energy efficient option then this may not be ideal.

Overall, both Zigbee and Z-Wave are excellent choices when looking into home automation technologies. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses – but regardless both are capable of transforming any living space into a smart environment with ease!
